01 Scope

Work orders cover warehouse tasks outside standard inbound and outbound flows: counts, moves, replenishment, rework, relabeling, sample picks, quantity verification, and exception investigation.

02 Create a Work Order

Specify customer, warehouse, task type, SKU, quantity, source location, destination, priority, due time, and owner. Inventory-impacting work requires a documented business reason.

03 Execute and Verify

  1. Scan the SKU, pallet, or location before starting.
  2. Validate the task object, quantity, and current location.
  3. Record completed quantity, exception reason, and evidence.
  4. A supervisor verifies quantity, location, and inventory history before closure.
