01 Principles
Master data controls order matching, barcode scanning, inventory location, and billing ownership. Before creation or change, confirm uniqueness, completeness, ownership, and effective date.
02 Required Information
| Object | Key Fields |
|---|---|
| Customer | Code, name, billing rules, warehouse scope, and status. |
| Product | Internal SKU, customer SKU, description, barcode, UOM, dimensions, and weight. |
| Lot | Lot, production or expiration date, and serial requirements. |
| Location | Warehouse, zone, rack, type, capacity, and status. |
| Packaging | Unit, inner case, master carton, and pallet conversion. |
03 Change Control
Do not reuse a SKU or barcode for another product. Deactivate master data with transaction history instead of deleting it. Revalidate freight, packing, and inventory UOM after dimension, weight, or pack changes.
04 Go-live Check
Audit duplicate SKUs, missing barcodes, abnormal dimensions, invalid locations, customer ownership, and UOM conversions. Run one sample through receiving, movement, picking, and shipment.
